| Message: | I own a 2008 Cayman S with only 1100 miles, although it was purchased almost 1 year ago. Garaged (of course), the manual calls for an oil change every 15K miles. The dealership (great guys), first class certified mechanics, very knowledgeable, trained in Germany, tell me not to worry about an oil change (Mobol synthetic 0w-40) for a couple more years or if I hit 15K miles before then. Potentially, that is 3 years with no oil change if still under 15K miles. Another trained to the hilt Porsche mechanic in another location said "change the oil and filter every 6 months or 6K miles, no exceptions". Any advice would be most appreciated, my friends. PS - I had a 2002 C4S with 10K miles that I left at the dealership for some service and was given a Cayman S loaner for the day. It wasn't long after this that I replaced the C4S with the Cayman S and never looked back ! Thanks guys ! | ||||
