| Message: | | Wow! This is quite interesting. I have told the dealership about a "vibration" I was experiencing, noticably on newly paved roads, smooth as glass, which should be causing no such sensation. They don't believe me. I talked to 1-800- Porsche and got a call from head hansho (sp?) who acknowledged nothing about any such problem. Now, I type Porsche Cayenne Vibration into Google, and Loh! and Behold! I find that I am not alone in this! From my studies in physics, way back when, it seems like some sort of simple harmonic motion that gets set up on smooth roads. Bumpy roads take the harmonic motion out of it and neutralize it. That is my gut theory. My car was in the shop for 21 days of the first 3 months I owned it while they fooled around with how to fix the remote door locks. I had to start the car within 15 seconds of opening any door, including just trying to get something out of the back seat or trunk, or the car started honking at me! I'll gladly join in your pursuit of getting Porsche to take care of us.
