| Message: | Jerry at Holberts in Warrington worked on mine last September I think it was. Since then I have had very little to complain about in terms of the tranny, apart from not going down to 2 for slow tight corners. The DME update made the most difference, but the Kickdown update I like the most as it now slides from gear to gear smoother than before and I can actually kick down/slow down which I could never do before. Gig also said something here that does make sense. Turning off PSM and letting car remap itself to you and then turning it back on with the revised map could overcome some of the safety programming of PSM which does lots of things to protect the working envelope of the car. I do think however that over time it will return to the other way as PSM takes over so this may be a performance tweak for the long term. I have to comment on the X5 comments. A fine vehicle, not doubt but do not confuse "feels fast" with actual speed. Watch he speedo in both cars and get the truth. In my experience the faster the car the less it feels fast. I do use manual mostly and auto for trolling. | ||||
