Porsche Sedan prototype (534 views) (1858 thread views)
Message: Wow, I just decided to stop in and check out what some of you all think, and that whole Porsche pedigree thing really brings me down. Obviously there are bound to be Porschephiles that believe the only true Porsche is the low-riding, sleek sports car, but who says Porsche cannot stand for more. We feel it is important to bring such a nameplate to other segments, to satisfy the long thought about "what if's" that Porsche buyers have asked us about. This SAV will not bring down the Porsche name, but rather bring it up into segments where we have never ventured, and we are positive the Cayenne will be the flagship of the SAVs/SUVs.
Now, about the sedan. There is currenty a sedan prototype being built in Germany but it is questionable as to whether it will reach production before 2004. It is a fantastic blend of the 928, 911 and Boxster styling components and is stunning. Although final specs are not known for sure because it is being changed constantly to out-do the previous model, right now it is powered by a Twin-turbo intercooled V6, producing upwards of 300 bhp, it is approx. 180 inches long, the engine is true to Porsche, being placed in the rear. The front is a downsloping beauty that immediately brings the newer 928s to mind, and the rear is unmistakable 911, without sacrificing the "car" look. More information will be released to the public as testing is completed and the prototype is set into the final stage of development. Pricing will most likely be in the upper $100k's - it will be worth it. All in all even the dedicated Porschephile will not be disappointed. This is the perfect blend of luxury, performance and a distinguished nameplate that is sure to make onlookers cringe with jealousy. Performance is on par with the 2001 993 Twin Turbo, yet the ride is not as rough, and the most impressive improvement is the backseat that will easily fit most adults under 6'5". For more information, e-mail CEOPorscheUSA2002@yahoo.com and we will do our best to answer your questions. Thank you and bear with us! You will be rewarded with perhaps the greatest sedan ever built in the history of automotive technology.
