Boxster Convertible Top Replacement/ DIY vs. Pro.? (218 views) (344 thread views) 
Message: I want to upgrade my 1998 Boxster top to one with a Glass window. Shopping around I can get it installed by a professional for $1,400 or I can order it on-line and have it shipped to my house for around $700. To save $700 I think I want to do it myself. It comes with an installation manual.

Has anyone every replaced their top themselves?
Do you need any special tools?
How long did it take?
