I have a 2003 Boxster- would not recommend buying one. Mine has 60K, I am the 3rd owner. No problems, drove like a dream- then the drive shaft went. Fortunately, I was going 35 on the straight, 85 on a corner and our children could be orphans! My husband researched it and this engine (not just this year or model) has up to a 25% KNOWN failure rate. It just goes at 60K! A new engine is 15K, I may get mine fixed for ~5K or we may piece the damn thing out and look elsewhere for a fast convertible.
