As you have read it basically needs a transaxle.

He wants $2,250.00 after all the other stuff he has put in.

He would do the transaxle for $575 labor.

So what do you think? Any advice at all is appreciated.

I am looking for a car with some work to be done, but is still driveable.

PS I am a Bimmer man at heart with E23,E36,E31 and E92 all occupying the driveway over the years I have learned how to work on them myself and I've grown pretty good at it over the years, so labor on my end is not an issue.
