85 944 wont start (406 views) (902 thread views)
Message: Put new DME relay, used ECU computer, new fuel pump, new crank positioning reference sensor, new plugs and wires, rotor, fuel filter, and fuel pump fuse is good. The crank positining sensor was frozen and it took 3 weeks worth of drilling and beating it until it finally came out. The speed sensor is also frozen, but since its so close to the firewall, theres no leverage to get it out. A mechanic said thats no problem because that wont prevent it from starting. Is he wrong about the speed sensor? Also, I may have done some damage to the flywheel in getting the crank sensor out. Will this prevent it from starting as well? I really appreciate any info, because I'm about to use this 944 for target practice.
