| Message: | Still running, but rough, sounds like a timing belt that slipped just a little bit, perhaps caused by a bad tensioner. If so, you have to pull the timing covers and check the marks on both cam wheels. Pain in the rear, but no other way that I know. '82, is that still CIS? If so, and if the timing check doesn't work out, try swapping in a rebuilt "Warm Up Regulator," which controls the mixture. The part is a couple hundred bucks. If not C.I.S., ask someone with the first generation electronic injection which part controls the mixture. This is all assuming that you actually replaced all the vacuum tubing that might have failed. There's a lot of that, including under the intake pipes, much of it impossible to reach without removing the intake. | ||||
