| Message: | If your 928 has the same 14 lb (AARGH 6.3 Kilos) cap on it, then the boiling temperature will be between 117 and 118 degrees Celsuis. Forget those gay fahrenheit things, they are USELESS. 117 = 242F. ACK. The car should run at or around degrees C but below the boiling point. (Good tip: NEVER depressure a hot system by removing the cap: you instantly raise drop the boiling point to 100C, and if the water is over that, then you will have an eruption from the system as all the water in the car simultanously boils itself stupid! With hard running at low speeds (i.e. twisty roads where you're doing less than 60 mph, but constantly over 4000 RPM) at high temperatures you can expect water temps to push right the way towards that 117/118 degree ceiling. Handy tip for fast drivers: the 928 is famous for its detonation misfires at high roms when the engine is very hot. If you EVER experience misfiring at high engine rpms, then this is pre-detonation, which is extraordinarily bad for the motor: DO NOT PRESS ON IF THE ENGINE IS MISFIRING!!! Let the thing cool down a bit, or back off the revs. ---------------- How many escape pods are there? "NONE, SIR!" You counted them? "TWICE, SIR!" | ||||
