| Message: | Jim, I bid on a car a few years ago that VMC was bidding on also. I watched the bid remain the same all week, then the night it was to end VMC placed a bid. I was worried, I did not want to get into a bidding war with a dealer, so I emailed him and explained my situation: prospective 1st time Porsche owner, exact model and body style I was looking for, great price, etc. I plead my case with him to allow a guy the chance to fulfill a dream, especially when he would just be reselling the car, taking no pleasure out of it himself. Mr. Neal retracted his bid. Three years later, that car sits in my garage as I type just waiting for the next time the sun comes out and I give 'er a chance to exercise. Check out the Roadfly gallery - it's a black 1980 911SC, I think I named the album 911SC Widebody. I'm not saying it didn't happen, or that it has never happened to anyone else, but at least I know (and now you do, too) that he can be diplomatic. | ||||
