My 997 C2S was brand new when you posted the original question, so were in no position to comment on long-term reliability. Now it's been 3 years and 20+k all hectic city mileage driven, I proudly report the 997 C2S experience not a single flaw, apart from occasional cold start shivering (long ago sorted by the dealer).
