| Message: | | I just leased a new 2008 C4S last week (quite a few 2008 still available round Chicago and Porsche was giving decent lease rates to help dealers move them). This car follows driving a 2001 911 C2 for 3 years, and a 2005 C2 for 4 years…both driven all year round. With a good set of winter tires on the cars, driving a 911 in the winter is one of life’s best experiences! The most important advice I can give is to know the car’s limitations. During almost 8 winters (knock on wood), I never got stuck and never damaged the front air dam. You have to apply common sense thru out the winter and if the weatherman predicts 6 or more inches of snow, you might want to find alternative transportation. However, for all the other days, where the snow and/or ice is manageable and especially for those days where it’s clear roads…there’s no better way to get from Point A to Point B then in a 911. Good luck! belzinga | |
