| Message: | Dear all, I have to agree. I bought a 1971 911T Targa, also in "pristine condition". On arrival the car didn't run. I brought it to Porsche where the conclusion was that it had almost no compression.Cylinders 3 and 4 weren't working at all. What do you do with a car standing here, already paid and not running? Have it repaired! During this process it seemed the engine was in overall bad condition. The cylinders and piston were changed, the timing chain was bad, the fuelpump didn't work, the carburators were stuffed. the oilcooler was full of thick old oil so didn't cool. A wrong bobine was mounted etc etc. All in all, based on the current exchange rate it cost me $11500 to get it to run properly. We bought more cars from him, because we trusted him. There were a few good cars, but all of them had some minors issues. If he had just said so, but he didn't. And when the car arrives after a long journey, what can you do? I wouldn't buy a car from him/them again. | ||||
