| Message: | I owned a 1999 Cab 996 (3.2 L, 296 bhp/258 lb-ft) for about 3 years and then traded in for the 2002 Cab 996 (3.6 L, 320 bhp/273 lb-ft). The difference in HP is noticeable albeit mainly subjective. I prefer the 2002 model over the 1999 mainly for 1. More HP 2. Headlight configuration 3. Exhaust note (it sounds more throaty). If you wish for more sporty and robust exhaust note, look for the "sport exhaust" option that were offered for 2003 + models. Its very nice.
