Difference between X51 and normal 3.6 is not as important in my opinion. Look at the power and torque curves...

I would go for a 2002 onwards without hesitation... and the cabin is slightly better (Turbo on board computer etc...). And the Cup-holders... pretty damn important for my fellow americans !!!
