| Message: | Hello fellow Porssshh owners/entuthiasts, Can't start my old 930 that's been in storage for most of the time I've owned it (over 15 yrs). Normally, I'd start it up at least once a couple of months just to keep the internal parts lubricated. Well, months went by before I started it again and .... it wouldn't start. Bought new batt, the engine cranks just won't fire up. Changed the plugs and cranked her up again. After a while I noticed a strong smell of gas. When I looked at the back end, gas was coming out of the tail pipe. A few months has passed since then before I got a chance to work on it again. This time it still wouldn't fire up although it cranks. There's spark at each wire, and gas is getting to the fuel injection. One weird thing that I noticed was that when I took out the relay next to the 2 fuel pump relays (power window relay), the fuel pumps would buzz. When the 3rd relay is in place, the fuel pumps would not buzz. Any of you Porsche guys/gals have any idea on where I should check next? Thanks. | ||||
