| Message: | This happens to me too with my '69 912. My understanding is that over time the carbs do not sit well on the engine. The flanges get bent down over the years because of possibly over tightening against the soft gasket. When the carb is set up to idle correctly when cold, the air-fuel mixture is off when warm because the metals expand and change the air-fuel mixture. I've been told that the bottoms of the carbs can be machined to eliminate this. A project for "someday." Hope that helps. | ||||
