| Message: | Hey all, First post here, I'm usually over at the Z3 forum. I'm in the first stages of CONSIDERING the purchase of a 914 and would love to pick the brains of owners local to me. I've seen large groups of 914's on occasion at the Cars and Coffee meet at Valley Circle so I know you're around. I've had a 95 Miata, a 99 Miata, a 2000 2.3 Z3, a 98 2.8 Z3 and now drive a 97 1.9 Z3. I've absolutely loved every one of these cars (with the exception of the 2.3 Z3) in its own way. However, there's always been the desire to be a Porsche owner/driver. The 914 seems the most likely candidate for me in terms of economics, but I may be delusional...so, if anyone would like to meet some weekend for coffee and either convince me this car is for me or NOT...I'd appreciate it. By the way, it has to be a reliable, 12-15K mile per year daily driver. I don't maintain a stable... I just read the Pelican Parts 914 info and went over to 914Club.com and just subscibed to the online 914 mag so...talking to someone in the flesh is next. | ||||
