69 Porche 912 backfire (654 views) (771 thread views) 
Message: I have a 69 912 and have had the engine redone, new distributor, and carbs cleaned out. The car continues to backfire at deceleration and idle after it has warmed up. Help. I have heard intake air leaks may be the issue, but can't find one. Where would one look and are there other possible causes. Would an exhaust gas relief system install fix this?
