Also, if someone with expert knowledge of firearms would check them, the automatic weapons may have been deactivated or converted to semi-automatic, thereby making them legal to own. Only the fully automatic weapons are illegal to own w/o a proper license. If you turn all these weapons over to the police for destruction, you are not only throwing away lots of money, you are destroying valuable, collectible arms. Any reputable firearms dealer will help you sell them legally for a fee.
