| Message: | The auro tranny in my '05 MCS is hard to decipher. The book gives me little understanding. Apparently when I use it normal I get ok shift points. When I move the lever to the right in "D" I get much higher shift points and earlier downshifts. Much more fun driving. Is that how it is supposed to work? Anything else? What is the relationship between the lever position and use of the paddles on the wheel? BTW I have had 2 cars with SMG/paddles, constantly over the last 8 years. I just can't get used to using them, my hand falls to the shift lever every time. tia psybj '06 ///M6 Silverstone '09 Hyundai Genesis V8 PREVIOUS: '02 ///M3 SMG '01 ///M3 6sp Acura 3.0CL Dodge Stealth TT AWD VW Thing Acura Legend Cpe.
