intermittent belt type noise from under hood (389 views) (1489 thread views) 
Message: My daughter has a 03 MC which just had the 60K mile (level 2?)inspection a couple of weeks ago. Now she says that it has an intermittent loud noise she notices sometimes, especially when she is just idling for a while (she has to pick up her younger sister from school and is idling in the same spot for a couple of minutes). She does not think it matters if the car is in gear or not. I could not replicate it but she says it is intermittent.....any thoughts? I think the AC needs recharging and dont know if somehow the AC unit is involved.
