Message: So, you're basically saying the run-flats are a bit trumped up and not really as reliable as one might assume.

I'm looking to get some 17's for my MCS, but am not sure about the whole run-flat thing. I feel that I might be able to get away with getting reg. tires on 17" rims and get the fla-fix foam.

I too have had only ONE flat in my driving experience (16yrs).
