The run flats are an interesting technology but I just feel that they are a bit ahead of their time for everyday street driving. There just isn't enough of a dealer network out there to support the service and supply side of these tires. When I owned my Z3 a lot of people who drove the MZ3's used to gripe about the lack of a spare and did not care much for the infamous BMW Mobility Kit but they sure liked their big fat MZ tires !Personally I think that people who opt for a higher performance tire are the same people who would not mind losing a little trunk space to a spare tire.
