Bought mine new. Common problems are the rear window regulators. Both of mine broke. My AFM was just replaced at 45K with the glow plugs. AFM is a common problem. 2 glow plugs were bad. With some Red Line Diesel Fuel additive, it has more power. These diesels came with the Flexible Service Schedule (FSS). Oil intervals of 20k were possible, though unlikely. Some valve train wear was reported if conventional oils were used. Result was a class action suit. Later E320CDI's used a standard oil change interval. FSS remains for gas E class but not for diesels. Draw your own conclusions! Car runs great rides nice and has plenty of power. Already available in europe and maybe coming to the states in late 06 is the E420 CDI V8 twin turbos.
