Hello, I am thinking of buying 1999 E300D, I found (1352 views) (2601 thread views) 
Message: it very hard to find any info or reviews on this car. The info that I did find suggested that diesel engine on this last model E300D is very good but a bit underpowered. I will be using this car for commute. Is there any problems with this car and also is there big changes from 96-99 that have been made on this car?
Is there such a thing as performance chip for turbo diesels, and how it affects performance to mileage?
I was originally about to buy 1995 S320 Diesel but found out about the rod bending engine problem and decided to stay away.
Any input appreciated,
