| Message: | I've been wanting a wagon( turbodiesel) and I finally found one for a good price (wagons go in LA for upwards of 5 to 8k). The car was owned by an Egyptian man/mechanic who fixed the car himself and left the car with his son when he went back to Egypt. Anyway... It shifts smooth and all the locks work with the key. Air Conditioning works. A bit of white smoke at start up but after a few seconds it goes away. The car has sat & hasn't been driven in 2 years so I consider myself lucky that I was able to make the 20+ mile drive home tonight. BUT, when I come to a stop it shakes-the engine-it REALLY S-H-A-K-E-S! It has a LOVECRAFT veggie oil fuel attachment thing in it-although its running on regular diesel petrol now. Can anyone tell me what causes the shake? When I open the hood I can literally see the engine shaking from side to side. I'm a woman & I've been taken to the cleaners by MBZ mechanics before so I'd like to get an idea before I take it to a mechanic. It helps if I sound like I know what I'm talking about when I roll into the mechanics shop. Any advice you guys have I'd greatly appreciate! | ||||
