| Message: | a likely cause for one of the two alternator belts to fail like that is the belts were NOT a matched pair. The Alternator belts should be of the same size, and production date so the age of the rubber, stretch, and wear rate is equal for the two belts. Usually when you purchase the belts, the matching alternator belts are tied together. With a alternator maybe loose for one belt, the other was very loose cause it to fail before the other. you should have the following belts : Water pump/fan/alternator (2 V-belts) 9.5 x 1035 mm Power steering (1 V-belt) 12.5 x 1145 mm Air conditioning (1 V-belt) 12.5 x 925 | ||||
