| Message: | I think C280 was designed a bit wrong by the [Oops!] German nerds. Problem #1 it uses too much power when you shut off the engine in winter (dark time) causes the car to spent 1 minute 200 watts light on your battery every time you stopped at any location. Problem #2, your alternator won't start up until your car moves above 25 miles, so lots of juices sucked off your car battery to supply for spark plugs etc.. Problem #3, I wish MB's alternator could inject a bit more current to repay the battery for what it uses, it gives only 13.70V - 13.80v It should give 14.1V minimum, and my japanese car charger charges at 14.4V. I love everything else from Mercedes-Benz except these nagging problem. | ||||
