| Message: | I recently also experienced the same situation. the euro lights I purchased have a different pin system than the car, however I see a way in my situation. I just need to use my volt meter/ ohm meter and figure out how to make the set up work with the car. The clear turn signal lenses are not a problem, I just switched the socket from the old light to the new light, and next I will get a proper amber light bulb and I am done. ( the fit was very tight, but worked ) Do not cut or mangle any wiring on your car, these cars are very sensitive to voltage and ohm changes, and thus an alteration of the lighting circuits could cause a malfunction somewhere else. I did see a multiple pin conversion plug some where on the internet recently, which would solve the issue for you and I on the euro lights. My 1986 190D has a 4 pin female plug from the car to the headlight assembly, while the euro lights I bought have a 5 pin male connector assembly, there is a conversion wiring kit for about thirty dollars out there for exactly this purpose. I just do not remember where I saw it. I am going to modify the euro lights, once I figure by using my volt meter, how to have hi & low beam function with my car remaining stock but modifying the euro lights. i.e. | ||||
