Suddenly, my 97xk8 would not start,i.e. when the igniton key was turned to engage the starter motor, nothing would happen-no noise, nothing. Then the windows did their funny number by not going up all of the way and lowering everytime I pull on the door lever from the outside.

I recycled the alarm and after a few minutes, the starter motor engaged and now the car starts fine but the traction control failure error message briefly appears when the car is started. I have reset the window limiter twice as the windows have now done their funny number again.

Please help me with a clue. Do I have a traction control failure or is it something else?
Thank you in advance.

New follow-up: while the starter was silent, the car never appeared to lose power as the ignition lights and everything else functioned except the starter. Now the starter works but the traction control failure light briefly appears when the car is started.
Help please?
