Just been out to the car and the socket is there. It's a 3 pin socket to the right of the battery. One pin is a ground (black), one is always on (Brown+Green) and the other (purple?) is switchable by ignition via a relay (relay #6 according to my info).

Hope this helps someone.

Just found the answer on alldatadiy.com. There is one behind the glove box aparently.

The one in the boot appears to be cable-tied to another wire just to the right of the battery. (according to the diagram, I haven't looked yet).

I posted a question on this several weeks ago and there have been no responses yet. There is also supposed to be one behind the glove box. I have had no luck finding either. Let me know if you do.

I'm told that there is a power supply for a cigar lighter socket in the boot (I assume for the optional fridge). Does anyone know where this supply can be found (aparently it's a wire with a socket on the end).
