I
This may be a silly question, but I never installed the front plate on my XKR coupe and now I got a ticket. I went to install it with the provided front holder, but there aren't any holes in the front bumperettes. Do I have to drill holes in the bumperettes to install the plate?

I went through the same issue with my 98 XK8. I had no front plate for 2 years with no problem. Then the area where I live (near Palm Springs Ca) began to install cameras to catch red light violations. Since this requires the front license plate the police began issuing tickets. I got the front plate installed by the dealer (he had to drill holes). When I got my 2001 XKR last year I had them installed prior to delivery. I still see quite a few corvettes without front plates but out this way more people are installing them.
