The XKR has more competition brakes. I think they are Brembo, who makes fine brakes -- probably some of the best. They probably have more metallic composition, which would make them need to warm up to be truly effective. Also, there may be a surface rust deposit on the rotors after several days, and the rotors need to be scrubbed by the pads for a stop or 2 for the pads to seat completely onto the rotors. This is probably what you are experiencing. I don't think it would be a problem that I would correct.
