Brakes on XKR (archive)

Ive also never been happy with the brakes on my XKR - if I leave the car for as few days and then reverse (out of the garage) the brakes fail to stop the car - it seems to take a fre minutes for the brakes to start working.

Jag says that the vacuum test is fine.

It just seems to me that a low speed the brakes on the XK are simply not sufficient. (why else would they be offering a brake 'upgrade' on the newer models)

Any suggestions ??
