Parting out 97 XK8 . . . maybe (archive)

I am posting this for a friend of mine (I normally post over on the bimmer.org board). Anyway, he is considering picking up a 97 XK8 with a salvage title that has been hit in medium in the front (bumper cover, hood, lights, and fenders are gone). The car is blue with a blue top and a perfect creme interior (minus the airbags) and 31k miles. He wants it for the engine long block. Other than that--all parts would be available.
