I replaced my Pirelli's on my 97 XK8 with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I'm quite pleased (and I was *not* happy w/ the Pirelli's - mostly due to the rough ride). The ride on the Michelin's is quite nice - even with reasonable tire pressure in the car (still can't believe Jag suggests 26 lbs of pressure for max comfort - as an engineer, I can say that that's just an accident waiting to happen - it also will cause the side-walls to break down).

I've only had the Michelin's for about a month, but I'd recommend them so far!
