2001 XK8 coupe (archive)

I have had mine now more than a year. 9000 miles on it. It is a white onyx colour with the 18" wheels and no nav package (I didn't want to lose the gauges). Reliability has been good so far. The continental contisports in the rear have both had nail punctures. When it was in recently for oil change/fix cracked windscreen (stone damage), during service they warranty repaired all the steering bushings after one of them was cracked (already!). Some fit finish issues wrt the seal around the rear windows, seals replaced there. Also the passenger window went into a mode where the window decended and then the auto drop/auto raise feature got disabled (it would not auto raise). I thought I got a recall notice on it about 2months ago, turns out it was a message about a firmware upgrade for the passenger airbag sensor computer. I do get this message occasionally on start "TRAC NOT AVAIL", dealer said trac is working so must be just spurious.

Beautiful car. Really pretty in white also. I am very happy with it.
