I can say from my experience that the battery was an issue. Car started, radio played and kept the presets, no alarms. Windows needed reset constantly. New Battery cured the problem. I have reported here before that a poor battery condition was not detectable by me. Jag dealer did the diagnosis and installed a new battery. No problems since.

Hello! -

Every morning, when I start my car, it cranks a little sluggish (especially if it's really cold) but, the memory on the windows (have a convert.)always reset, and I have to set them up again and again.

What's strange, is the windows do not lose there memory when I first open the car, then when I close, they go back up,,only when I crank, the windows reset. The radio, seat memory, computer are fine, and never lose information....battery issues?

Well, the car is at the dealership now, but they have to keep it overnight. Another thing, to similate the issue to the dealer, I put my brights on for 1 minute, then crank the car, and the issue occurs....

Any takers on such a problem>?

Thanks,
Mark

I would have expected radio presets, etc. to go along with the window position memory. But now that I think about it, I don't recall having to reset radio presets along with window positions in my '98 when the battery has been disconnected. Damn! Maybe it is my memory that is failing.
