Tim:

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't see your post until today.

I will be going with the JL Audio subwoofers. I think JL and Kicker are the only ones that make them (atleast what I can find). I plan to use MB Quartz up front and install the tweeter in the corners of the dash, underneath the grills. I think (and was told) that the sound (highs) will reflect off the windshield for good sound when the top is down. It sounds like you installed yours near the mirror behind the triangular shaped cloth grill. Is that right? I'm not too sure where the Harmon Kardon tweeters are mounted, but irregardless the corner of the dash is where I'm going to install mine.

I plan to use a 6 channel amp, but may end up with two separates depending on which is the best configuration and space limitations. And, I have not decided on which 4" speakers I plan to use. My design is still up in the air. I don't think I will install the system until late April. I really drive the car much now (cold weather) and I'm putting my other "play money" into my bikes before riding season starts.

Feel free to keep in touch with details of my progress or share ideas. Jeffcoles1@hotmail.com
