Drink holder on XK8 (archive)

The drink holder on my XK8 just broke and I purchased a kit to fix it. I heard that this happens quite often. my problem is that there were no instructions in the box. I undid the 2 screws holing the holder but it didn't come out easy. Any ideas.
Also is there a book like Chiltons that has repair information for the XK8 (1997)
