I have an acquaintance who did this on his 97 XK8. The entire front bumper assembly had to be removed, and he said it took most of a weekend. He restores cars for a hobby so he's handy with tools, I just don't know if it took a whole weekend working full days, or if it really is that big of a deal. I can tell you from looking at the XK8 versus XKR, it appears to me that the XKR has a little filler plug on each side of each bumperette. Your plastic chrome grill bar in your car now fills the hole that the filler plug would go in, so if you replace the bar with an XKR grille, I believe there is at least some bumperette pieces you'll need.

Best of luck,
Jeff

I have a 97 XK8 and was thinking about installing the XKR front grill (I like that look). Has anyone done this? If so, were there any problems or things to look out for.

Thanks
