Jeff,

If you use 6.5 subs are you going to use the JL Audio's? They are the only 6.5 subs I know of. In any case, I too switched out my stock system. I used JL audio because they were the only decent speakers I could find in a 6" size. I decided not to cut the back locations yet. I want to install an amp and see how the system sounds without the subs.

I used JL Audio VR600CS (seperates) for the front and put the tweeter in the stock tweeter location (in the door by the windows) although the stock location had to be altered because the tweeters are a bit larger than the Harmon Kardon tweeter and VR600CX in the rear. I plan to install an amp very soon because, although the speakers sound ok with the stock head unit, once you crank it up they start to tweek. Now this is where the problem comes in. If you were to put in two 6.5 or 8 subs say in the normal rear location you'd need a six channel amp or if you go with a 10 or 12 you'd need to find the right location and get a 5 channel. So I'd like to hear if you do go with the 6.5's and how that turned out. Still undecided which way to go with the subs.

Thanks
