I have a 1997 XK8 coupe with <36Kmi and all options for that model year that I would like to sell. The local Jaguar dealership offered an insulting price of $20,000 (apparently because there is no market for the coupe model, which I believe is better than the convertible). Can anyone suggest alternative markets to sell the car at a less substantial loss?

Take a look at www.autotrader.com or www.ebay.com. If you are in or near a major metropolitan area consider a private sale using the local newspaper. The dealer will always offer you a low-ball price so he has room to put money into preparation for sale, advertising, etc. and still make a profit. Even if you were trading it in on a new Jaguar his price to you would be low.
