Ever since ford bought jaguar, Jagaur has adopted american customs, like the headlight on all the time for example. The interior panel illuminated during the day, etc.. Pure european cars dont have those extras which to me are pretty anoying.
Some are nice, especially that jaguars are more dependable now. I remember when i had an e-type, it used to break down all the time.
I hope i can find a way to shut off my panel lights during the day and place them back on at night when i trun my lights on. This way i dont get any more tickets
Good idea, but check it after service. I leave mine in auto-on but service techs frequently turn off everything automatic - climate control, headlights, steering wheel adjustment.
With my engine running and lights OFF my dash lights are on. The dash light brightness control does adjust them. Looks like you have two options. Every time you turn your headlights off adjust your dash lights to their dimmest setting. It should be obvious to you that your dash lights are difficult to read if it is dark enough to require headlights. So then turn on your headlights and 'brighten' your dash lights. Of course if you forget to dim your dash lights when you turn off your headlights you will probably get another ticket. The other option is to set your headlights to 'auto on' and leave your dash light brightness adjustment alone. The sensor that turns on your headlights is on the 'front' of the rear view mirror. There is also a control that adjusts the sensitivity of that system. Set it so that your headlights don't turn on until the light level is fairly low. Your headlights will normally not be on during the day and no more tickets.
