Daytime running lights should not turn on your panel lights or your rear lights. If you have daytime running lights, you should not need to turn on your headlights during the day, and the auto setting still should turn on your headlights, tailights, and dash lights at night. These should not be on during the day if you are setting your light switch correctly, and your car is functioning properly.
