As an ex-owner, I can say that the 8-series is a wonderful car, considering you can find some excellent examples of the vehicle for less than $30k, nowadays.

Now, I would not say that the E31 is more of a "Man's" car by any means. Of course the car has its pros over the Xk8, it also has many cons. When the time came to liquidate one of the grand tourers from my garage, I chose to keep the Jag. Not a very difficult decision. Of course, perhaps if I had a Xk8 Coupe, it might have been a more difficult question, since I was also selling off my Suzuki GSX-R1100 at the same time...

... btw, of all my vehicles, the gixxer was the manliest... of course defining "manly" as any decision made primarily from testosterone.
