Throttle Body Problems (archive)

Continuing my saga of problems with my '97 Coupe with 60K miles. I wanted to see if anyone had issues with their throttle body.

When I drive the car at low speeds, and RPM between 2k and 3K i get serious shift problems. It's almost like the car staggers back...hard to explain, it feels like it shifted unexpectedly, a very sharp shutter in the car and it kind of kicks back. When I accelerate it feels like the car can't shift properly.

I have experience 2 stalled engine warnings and both times the engine actually stalled. Had to disconnect the battery to get out of "Limp Home" mode.

I have had the throttle body cleaned numerous times and the Dealer has not been able to figure out what the problem is, hopefully since I have not cleared the last engine fault since I didn't have to disconnect the battery they can figure it out.

Again I wanted to get anyone's feedback or see if they have experienced this before.

Additional problems that I have now are a "Stability Control Failure" warning and the ABS light.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Josh Mann
