I have had 2 XK8's.
The second and my current one is a replacement because of all the problems on the first one.
I have had a number of different cars.
2x BMW's (520 touring and a 525 saloon that replaced the 520 because there were so many problems). The BMW's were by far the worst cars I have owned. Both cars virtually knew their own way to the dealers repair shop!
1xMercedes E180. Great car with some minor problems. Easy to drive but lacking in performance.
Couple of Fords. Minor problems with one having a gas tank guage that was never fixed correctly.
A Mini in the 80's. Of course...problems but none big.
3xSAAB's (2x9000's and one 95 that I had the EMS chipped on). No problems at all.

This XK8 is fine apart from a wheel vibration that Jag are currently working a fix on.
I could have gone for another SAAB if I wanted a truly well built and reliable car with some performance. But after one drive of the XK8 there was no contest. I have had the opportunity to drive some other performance cars like the 911, TT, Merc SLK and BMW 750 and they all lack the refinement and pure style and grace of the XK8. Only the 911 comes close in looks but the number of squeeks and rattles (brand new car too) was rediculous.
If I didn't think the XK8 was worth having I would have just got my money back instead of the replacement.
Finally, from a pure self indulgent, posing perspective the Jag is a hard act to follow. People just love to look at the XK8 because it is simply stunning.

Hello, I tought the XK8 was good but now, after allthe problem i have heard, I really thing it's a bad car.
Did someone was happy???
And, someone had trouble?(I thing a lot of persons will write problem just like a Lada)
